The Inspiration – Beata Lei

My love for designing women’s shoes was inherited from my amazing  mother Maria Cuffy (1934-2013).

Mum was a stylish and sophisticated lady who had a flair for designing and making her own dresses. Her passion for creating beautiful garments is what I believe planted the seed in my young exuberant head and I decided at that point that my future would be in making women look and feel beautiful.

I started my path in retail after I left school and completed an NVQ at Marks & Spencer’s which gave me invaluable experience working in some of London’s famous retail houses. This deepened my love and knowledge of fashion.

In the summer of 1999 I enrolled into a part time evening course at London College of Fashion this made me realize that my heart and soul was in sketching and designing women’s shoes.

I learned about colour schemes, materials and styles and this helped me develop my passion for designing desirable shoes.

After the painful and sudden death of my mother in 2013 I decided to leave my job in IT Sales and follow my dream to start my own shoe brand. In 2014 Beata Lei (Italian for Lucky her) was born and since then I have been creating shoe’s that I believe women would enjoy wearing to make them feel sexy, elegant and empowered. Some of which I’m sure mother would have enjoyed wearing to this day.

I use the finest Italian leathers and each shoe is handcrafted and manufactured by some of Italy’s finest artisans.

Life is short but Heels and Dreams shouldn’t be!
